THE BEARDS VISIT 2-22-09

We were so excited when Kirk and Betty came to visit. These are some of our dearest friends. Our friendship began way back in 1970 before either of had any children. We enjoyed them having a meal with us, spending the night, and to top it off, breakfast at Cracker Barrell. What a fun time. We are back to the no children stage and have remained great friends all these years. What a blessing. They really look great. The picture quality isn't good.

I just found some pictures from Christmas. Here we are before leaving for Sunday Evening services at church. I guess Martha and I are smiling enough. What happened to Dad?---He must have been thinking about Christmas money spent. LOL!!!

We had a wonderful 42 anniversary trip to Myrtle Beach, SC in November. I just found this picture. It was taken at our favorite restaurant on the beach. It was wonderfully warm and we promised to go again.

We had a beautiful snowfall in January. The note here is about Flat Stanley who was a project for Stacey's class at school in Georgia. The footprints are mine. I have always enjoyed playing in the snow. Doug & Darrell played in the snow with me one afternoon. That night I took a three hour nap before going to bed.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Rachel and I made 22 cupcakes today. In the smoke cloud it says
"I Choo-Choose You!". Doug and Darrell thought love the trains, but they didn't want to just look at them. They couldn't wait to eat them.
We had fun today going outside for a long walk and playing in the sun. We can hardly wait until Spring is here to stay.

Jimmy is reunited with his first car--72 Mustang

Jimmy, Becky, Alex and Logan came this past weekend to pick up his 72 Mustang. It sure does need a lot of TLC.
